The Dog Days of Winter with Heated Outdoor Dog Beds

Dog is man's best friend. Being your best friend, your dog ought to have every comfort that you afford yourself, and that most certainly includes a comfortable place to sleep. While most dog owners already own beds for their pets to sleep upon, most beds sold today aren't comfortable enough for pets, and they will still choose to sleep elsewhere, often just on the floor. When the floor is a more comfortable place to sleep than your dog's bed, you know that you've done something wrong. Seeing as dogs spend many hours outside daily, you should also get a bed for outdoors as well. A heated outdoor dog bed is the perfect combination of sturdiness and comfort, and your dog may soon want to spend every minute outdoors if only because the most comfy sleeping spot is out there.

Combining Value with Strength

One concern that arises with any type of outdoor furniture is strength. Because it needs to be able to weather the worst that can arise – freezing temperatures, hurricane-like storms, and the blazing sun during the summer – heated outdoor dog beds are some of the strongest pet furniture on the market. Combine its ability to survive any type of weather with pet-resistant materials that won't succumb to scratching, and heated outdoor dog beds might also be your first choice for indoor dog beds too. The single downside is that you will need to connect the dog bed to a power source like an electrical outlet so that the heating capabilities will work.

Fortunately, you won't need to pay hundreds of dollars for heated outdoor dog beds. You can get them as cheaply as $40 for basic models, although more deluxe models can run you significantly more. For example, a heated memory foam dog bed can easily cost hundreds of dollars, but memory foam products are infamous for their orthopedic qualities. The cost will boil down to several variables: the size of your dog (and you may want to buy a bigger than necessary dog bed for the chance that you will adopt a larger dog somewhere down the road) and the features that you would like included.

If you want your dog to be comfortable all the time, even when your dog is outside, then there is no better piece of furniture for it than a heated outdoor dog bed. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg, but you can still get a very comfortable and sturdy piece of furniture. The health benefits of such a bed are enormous and numerable, so one of these heated outdoor dog beds is a must for dog that spends several hours outside a day. As with all pet furniture, beds are scratch and stain resistant, so you can expect them to last for years and years even with destructive pets.
